Sleep

Is always the last thing in most entrepreneurs' Task list.

Some need less than 8 hours of sleep, and they are always fresh the next day fully charged doing things at their peak.

And then there are others who are always tired despite more than 8 hours of sleep.

Which one is you?

And ever wonder why do we need to sleep when there are thousand of things to be completed?

The one thing that I learnt about running your own business is, there are always heaps of stuff to do; preparing proposals, doing research, studying competitors' strategies, budgeting, solving problems after problems especially if you have colleagues who are new to the company.

Sleeping is always on the last of the to-do list…well at least for me.

It can be considered a luxury to many of us just to have that undisturbed deep sleep.

Years back, I even backed a crowdfunding project from Amazfit.com to pursue that ultimate sleep.

Many folks will always encourage us to sleep more and to rest the mind so that you can think more, have more clarity and perform better. They are all correct.

But what happens when you are in the “Zone”, where everything anything seems to going right and you just need to continue working till the last tasks are completed?

I say “Go for it!”

Who cares if you are going to compensate the next day or that you may not be able to stay awake? But if you are able to complete more work and do more things than ever? Is worth it, right?

That is where entrepreneurship pushes you to do things that you never be able to attempt when you are not in it. You don’t know how much your mental state can tolerate, how much your body can stay alert, how much you can squeeze yourself to the maximum to finish up that proposal, to work on the strategies etc.

Once you tasted and experienced it, you will be able to learn to adjust accordingly when to go beyond and when to stay on course.

But in the meantime, sprint.
