Fair Weather Friends

It was as if it just happened recently but it was the year, 2011 when I sold my startup then.

When it first started, not many people believed in the lost and found business. And it is okay because it is indeed something new to many and to the market too.

During that time, many mistakes were made and we were figuring things out too. I didn't expect any cheerleaders to be on the side to cheer us on not to give up. It was more of a cold and lonely journey going down the path that you have yet to walk before.

But when the business was sold, 6 years later, those who were never there, appeared suddenly!

They rallied and tried to rub shoulders as if they were part of it. It was eye-opening and a great lesson to be educated. Those who tried to step on you become the biggest advocate of your business! They appeared in places where you never once bumped into them during the 6 years of operation but here they are, always meeting you by chance.

Yet those who had been supporting us since day 1, were cheering us on silently behind the scenes like they used to, never asking for anything in return.

Till today, I still work with them because they given me the first chance when others don't.
