Eat and Drink

“Work comes first, nothing else matters.”

That’s always the start of some health issues for many of the business owners who work tirelessly day in day out. I for one, used to skip meals so that I can do one more email, setup a schedule, finish that report.

Many of us tell ourselves: “Is okay to be hungry, is okay to be thirsty, there are just far too many things to think about, to plan and even to execute them. There are just thousands of problems to be resolved, so eating and drinking are just going to slow me down.”

This is what everyone of us will think as we are in the 'zone’, putting everything infront of us to be cleared off that long list of tasks.

Once you start skipping meals and even gotten used to it, you risk putting your health at risk. And perhaps even the business that you are building up today, and only to have a poor health in the coming future to continue to run it. It happens and many peers are either hospitalized with indigestion problems.

Here’s what we can do:

Have a bowl of nuts, mineral water (stick to 1 coffee a day if you can) on the side of your laptop. They be very useful when you need some replenishments to the stomach while working on that project.

Keep that energy level high when you are pushing hard to complete a task. Never miss any meals nor have 2 big meals in one session in the hope that the stomach can slowly digest them so that you don’t have to spend time to eat later.

Don’t kill that body.
